Hi!

I'm Sandra Martins-Skolny, PT.

For more than 22 years I've worked with patients who were told their pain was something they would simply have to live with people who had already tried medications, injections, surgeries, and multiple rounds of therapy without lasting relief.

I built Florence Myofascial Release and Physical Therapy to give those patients something different: the time, attention, and depth of expertise to understand what is actually driving their symptoms, not just where they feel them.

My approach combines advanced myofascial release with a whole-body method I've spent years and significant investment in continued training developing into something you won't find elsewhere in the state.

"20 years ago I had my right ACL reconstructed, then in 2017 had a second knee surgery to repair 2 meniscus tears that left me with incredible pain, lots of scar tissue, instability, and decreased range of motion. I tried physical therapy and cortisone shots as prescribed, but my knee was too unstable to really participate in PT and the cortisone shots did not help any. Working with a physical therapist is when I learned my hips were off balanced. I tried gel injections which seems to help some with the pain but not the decreased range of motion and instability. My pain has dramatically decreased, I have almost full range of motion in my knee, my hips are finally balancing out, the tension from my neck and shoulders from sitting at a desk working at a computer is getting better and my shoulders are falling down and back into a healthy posture.
